Adam Hills

(hotlinking for I be evil)
"GO YOU BIG RED FIRE ENGINE!!"
Adam's solo shows have become highlights of The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and also at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, getting five-star reviews and sold-out shows. His 2001 show "Go You Big Red Fire Engine" was voted for the prominent Perrier Award in Edinburgh, and went on to play at her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End. Adam has also appeared as a headline act at Festivals in Adelaide, Cape Town, Hong Kong and Kilkenny.
Influenced by the most talented and funniest comedians in the world from Billy Connolly, Kenny Everett, Steve Martin and Robin Williams, Adam involves the audience to create a show the removes the boundaries that comedians usually have with punters and discusses the ways of the world. Adam has been around the comedy circuit since 1989 and has his own style of stand up.
"Adam Hills is what 'live theatre' is all about - damn good fun" (Adelaide Advertiser) Adam has featured on countless television shows including "The Stand Up Show"(BBC1), "Edinburgh Comedy" (BBC2), and "Live At Jongleur's" (UK Gold). In Australia he was a regular performer on "Good News Week" and the "GNW Debates" (TEN), and has been seen on "Rove Live" (TEN) and "The Glass House"(ABC). He used to hosted his own top-rating breakfast show on Austereo's SA-FM, appeared on BBC Radio 4's "Loose Ends" and is a regular guest on BBC Radio Scotland's "Fred Macaulay Show".
Adam is currently in demand as a top class headline act and one of the best MC's in the business in some of the world's top comedy clubs. He has just released his first CD, "Go You Big Red Fire Engine" through Chart Records (Dist: Warner Music) and can be seen on the comedy channel as a team captain on "Campaign". His latest show, Happy Feet, has already sold out at the Adelaide Fringe and is now playing at The Melbourne Comedy Festival.
